Tomasz Łoś was born the 1st of June 1990 in Szczecin, Poland. At the age of seven, he started his musical career at the Music School in Szczecin. He finished in 2004 achieving the 1st degree in piano. Since then he has been composing and it was the 27th of July 2005 when he started to give some shape to his project "Synthetic Substance" with the song Synthetic, which would be included in his first album, Shifting Secrets, which took him eight months of work and two more in order to do all the mastering and corrections of the 15 songs that would form the album. The definition of Tomasz's style is crystal-clear, the smooth and soothing rhythms are predominant. Out of Other is the only song that includes lyrics. Before Shifting Secrets, Tomasz composed some tracks that were never published and were signed under his own name, not with Synthetic Substance.
After the mastering of the album, Tomasz sought for a record label to get his album released in CD, however, the results were not the ones expected and the album was released in many digital labels as Total Wipes and LAD Records. MediaMusicNow.co.uk also released his work.
Not only has Tomasz worked in his own music projects, but also he has done some remixes for the artist Aeryal ad for MuddyLoop, musician from the label Symphonic Records.
On April 2007, he started the work with his second album, which will be named Open your Eyes. It will be an album with no changes in Synthetic Substance’s style, but with many tracks that will include lyrics. The mood of the album will be above all very uplifting. For this CD, a major movement in order to find a record label to release it on CD will be expected.
Apart from the music composing world, Tomasz is also involved in the developing and managing of his own music label, called Synthetic Recordings. The idea became true on July 2007, with the aim of helping musicians to release their music and have a high-quality stuff. The idea came from the fact that many record labels were not as responsible as they should be with artists. The label becomes a huge amount of requests and people interested in releasing their own music with Synthetic Recordings.
In the future, Tomasz is expecting to release his second album, and he already has many ideas for the 3rd one. Tomasz Łoś would like to work also in the world of soundtracks and the composition of music for media.
